About Creative Matters
Creative Matters is a Canadian-founded design house dedicated to the art of interior textile expression. With a growing presence in Europe, the company creates carpets, floor pieces, and textile works for private residences, five-star hotels, corporate headquarters, the superyacht sector, and leading luxury brands.
Working with accomplished artisanal communities and expert production partners across the world, Creative Matters brings together cultural heritage and contemporary creativity. Drawing on generations of craftsmanship and inherited knowledge, the company creates works that connect tradition with contemporary expression, contributing to the identity and memory of a place.
In an age where artificial intelligence increasingly drives creative processes, Creative Matters remains committed to the human dimension of making. Guided by the belief that aesthetics do not exist without ethics, the company champions craftsmanship, cultural transmission, and responsible creation. As it evolves from custom manufacturer to curatorial and artistic authority, Creative Matters develops collections, collaborations, and singular works that move freely between the worlds of art, architecture, and collectible design.
About RDAI
RDAI is an architecture, interior architecture and design agency based in Paris, with a subsidiary in Hong Kong. Founded in 1972 by Rena Dumas, the agency is now led by Denis Montel and Julia Capp.
With over one hundred employees from 10 different nationalities, the agency is recognised worldwide.
Experienced architects, interior architects, designers, and technicians work together on around 70 international projects each year, always responding to the specifics of places and cultures. RDAI works on all scales, from entire buildings to interior environments and individual objects — with innovative support from technical experts, research and development, data mining and material and craftmanship specialists — treating a diverse selection of programmes including retail, hotel, residential, workplace, cultural, events, and furniture design.
In 2020, RDAI founded Material Curator, a service offering a refined and creative vision by drawing together the agency's expertise in craftsmanship and materials. RDAI has built a global network consisting of thousands of suppliers, acquiring along the way unparalleled experience in developing materials, whether this be at the scale of architecture or design. Our network of artisanal and industrial manufacturers are brought together, in our office in the heart of Paris, and cross-referenced in a unique database.
