Spanish furniture brand .annud partners with Ultrafabrics for its playful new ‘Nigiri’ collection
October 8, 2024
Valencia, Spain – Spanish furniture brand .annud has partnered with Ultrafabrics, the world’s leading animal-free fabric manufacturer, to create the whimsical new Nigiri pouf collection, designed by Dibloo Estudio.
Fresh and simple ingredients can create a simple dish: this is the idea behind Nigiri, a pouf inspired by Japanese gastronomy. It is a piece that combines a modern and fresh design with the high-quality materials giving rise to a unique design that transcends trends.
The collection, which uses fabric from Ultrafabrics’ Ultraleather collection – in Sassy, a happy, sunny yellow – debuted at the Habitat Furniture and Lighting Fair in Valencia this month.
Pilar Tárraga, Design Manager at .annud, says: “These Dibloo Estudio poufs are such a visionary, creative design so we included it in our newest collections. Ultrafabrics, with its durable, vibrant fabrics, was the obvious textile for the product. The seat, made of oak plywood, adds a warm yet playful touch as it can be lacquered in fun colours. The black elastic band, which can be used as a handle to carry the pouf, completes the aesthetics of the authentic Nigiri.”
.annud is committed to young emerging talents, such as Dibloo Estudio, a couple of young designers focused on designing pieces full of optimism and creativity.
As a go-to performance fabric for global brands such as Herman Miller, Jaguar Land Rover, Airstream, Gulfstream and United Airlines , Ultrafabrics continues to show its commitment to building a more sustainable future with brand partners.
“Ultrafabrics works with innovative, international companies who care about sustainability so .annud is the perfect partner,” says Nicole Meier, Director of Branding. “We are delighted the company wanted to use our colourful Ultraleather for these capricious little poufs!”
